Short description:
The mid-project ME of the MeLDE project in Cyprus aimed to present the initial results of the MeLDE Framework, as well as preliminary results of the learning materials developed as part of the Academy in IO2, to a national audience of teachers, trainers, media professionals, etc. Due to restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was divided into two sessions and reached 30 participants in total.
The first part of the event was organized on 17 October 2020, where teachers, trainers, and other stakeholders from education had the opportunity to learn more about the project aims and objectives, the activities completed, and the next steps. Additionally, participants took part in different workshops and presentations in relation to topics developed under the MeLDE project such as managing digital identity and digital footprint.
The second part of the event took place on 7th November 2020 at the Mall of Cyprus, where the MeLDE project set an info desk and inform professionals such as teachers, trainers, and also members of the public about the activities of the project. It also provided a good opportunity to present the professional development course developed (learning modules and resources), the e-learning platform, and to inform teachers about the opportunity to take part in the project’s upcoming pilot testing activity.

Short description:
The Multiplier Event of the MeLDE project in Cyprus aimed to present all the products and results of the project to the target group and to relevant stakeholders, in order to ensure the sustainability and the promotion of the project. The ME reached in total of 22 participants.
The event was organized by Emphasys Centre on the 27th June 2021 at Omodos Square, where members of the target group (students, teachers, relevant stakeholders) were informed about the project aims and objectives, the educational material developed, and the e-learning platform. Participants took part in various workshops such as interactive quizzes in relation to media literacy and familiarise themselves with the MeLDE platform. Additionally, with the support of ANT1, a live radio link was organized from the event, promoting the MeLDE project and discussing media literacy topics with members of the consortium.
